SECOND DISTRICT POLICE STATION

The City of New Orleans commissioned the design and construction of a new Second District Police Station located near Xavier University in the Gert Town neighborhood of New Orleans. The 1.9-acre project site is shared with a newly constructed NORDC Natatorium. Dana Brown & Associates designed the linear plaza between the police station and natatorium. DBA’s design incorporates trees, benches and a walkway into the public plaza which is intended for use by the nearby community. DBA designed and prepared construction documents for site grading, stormwater management system, plantings, and streetscape improvements.
