ST. CLAUDE AVENUE

The St. Claude Avenue project area consists of a neutral ground just inside St. Bernard Parish along St. Claude Avenue. Dana Brown & Associates was hired to implement streetscape improvements that provide a more striking entrance into Old Arabi. New plantings, pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, curbs, and lighting are all part of the improved design. This project is the first phase in creating walkable corridors in the Old Arabi neighborhood. St. Claude will connect additional street improvements into the neighborhood, and eventually will connect and create riverfront access along the Mississippi River.
