COVINGTON BICYCLE MASTER PLAN

Dana Brown & Associates was enlisted by the project engineers to help produce a comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan for the City of Covington. While a strong emphasis was placed on bicycle infrastructure, the project addressed all forms of transportation including pedestrian and vehicular circulation. DBA’s primary responsibility was to drive the development of a citywide Complete Streets Policy that would address all future development and redevelopment across the city within both private and public land. Additionally, DBA was tasked with the production of all renderings, maps, and representational graphics for the project. This included before and after images illustrating the results the proposed Complete Streets policy may eventually have on Covington’s built environment. The resulting plan and associated policy provide Covington with a strong framework and backbone to drive smarter and more sustainable development as it continues to grow. Based on the plan, several projects are being implemented.
