TERREBONNE PARISH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

Dana Brown & Associates served as a subconsultant on the Terrebonne Parish Comprehensive Plan that would capitalize on existing economic opportunities in the Parish. DBA developed a GIS database and used it to analyze land use, recreation, parking, and locations of tourist attractions. Truck rerouting, changes to the zoning code, improved blight enforcement strategies, and reuse of historic properties were proposed. DBA also proposed new boating, biking, and hiking routes to connect southern areas of Terrebonne Parish with northern areas. DBA was responsible for developing a specific plan for Downtown Houma that creates a consistent identity through streetscape design, wayfinding, stormwater management features, and improved pedestrian pathways.
